From that day forward, Paris and Texas were inseparable. Together, they moved into a prosperous neighboring town to Golden Springs and set up a new show house. Texas sent a telegram to Mayor Vivian telling her exactly what she could go kiss, and that was the last of Golden Springs that Texas ever concerned herself with. Soon after her permanent departure, the town collapsed under the weight of its criminal population and turned into a wretched hive of scum and villainy, but Texas couldn't care less. Paris was the only land that she wanted to protect now.

And she guarded her like she was the sole treasure of her life. Every day was spent basking in Paris's beauty, and every night was wild, stinking throes of passion. Texas couldn't believe her sensitive nose could stand such ungodly stenches, but it was like the sweetest perfume to her. And while the two could never get officially married, due to the nature of the times, people only needed to smell that unmistakable flatulent reek of The Madame's raunchy farts on Texas's mouth to know what the two were up to. And Texas couldn't be happier.
