the beginning

kirk lay on his bed playing his xbox engrossed in shooting a bunch of soldiers, today was a weekend and he had plans to head out with his friends and go to the nearby quarry, it was going to be hot today and there were tentative plans to try and convince some of the girls from school to come out and go skinnydipping in the quarry, which was half full of water having been abandoned many years ago. it had become a local swimming spot for the teens around town.

But for now he was playing games because it was not hot enough yet to bother. He was just considering giving Billy one of his friends a call to see when the group was heading out when he heard a crash of a plate breaking from downstairs...
