Chapter 6 by BlanqSl8 BlanqSl8

Okay... off the bus, now what happens?

The Sidewalk.

The sidewalk was busy, so we stepped to the side of the bus stop hut where there was minimal foot traffic. There was an advertisement behind plexiglass on the hut purporting the “amazing results” of the small blue pill which was guaranteed to “last hours” and “increase length and girth”.

Alex nodded at the ad and looked to me, eyes alight with humor, “Not something you’ll probably ever need, hmm?”

“Oh brother…” I muttered as I focused on keeping myself covered.

We waited for a good half a minute. “Still experiencing…” She nodded to a few passerby’s, “…technical difficulties?”

I glared at her. “Yes. A bit.” I shuffled around trying to get my dick to slip into a more comfortable position.

More onlookers stared at me curiously. I sighed and avoided looking at them, instead focusing on a gum wrapper that had been pounded into the cement by a million different shoes.

I was then surprised as Alex took my arm in hers and smiled at me and said a bit louder than what was necessary, “Oh dear, I believe we’re at the right place!” I glanced up and the looks on the approaching women’s faces seemed to change from one of “Oh my god, an actual man! … and why is he holding a purse??” to, “Oh. Fuck. He’s with her.”

“Thanks… again.” I said quietly to her as the two women passed. Alex just smiled and continued to hold my arm.

It felt… nice. Really nice. Just to be standing there, with this hot girl on my arm. I may have had most of the ladies who walked past looking at me, but she also had many of the lingering glances spread to her. We must have made quite the couple!

“I think… we’re good to go.” I said, somewhat brightly. I grinned at her as I handed her back her bag I said, a bit sheepishly, “You know, you’re kinda the best!”

“Oh, more than you know.” She said with a wink as slipped her phone back into her purse.

“Ha ha.” I stuck my tongue out at her. “Well, I guess I’d better get up to my job interview! Where are you off to?”

“I have an appointment here as well.”

“Oh? Hey! You’re not competing with me for the admin position are you!?” I exclaimed, glaring at her.

“No, not exactly.” She laughed. What a pretty laugh I thought to myself… lost in thought for a quick second.

AHEM. Okay, time to say goodbye. “Well, I bid you adieu, Miss Alex.”

“A very good day to you, Mr. Just John.” We both shared a laugh at that.

“Hey…” I started, then stopped.

“Yes?” She looked at me with those amazing brown eyes.

I really didn’t want to just part ways… Oh I know!

“You, uh, busy for lunch? I kinda owe you one, considering…”

She smiled at me. “I could be, for the right guy…”

I puffed up my chest slightly. “Good luck finding another guy within the city.”

“Ha ha.” She mimicked my previous expression and stuck her tongue out at me and my heart skipped a beat. SO CUTE.

“Okay!” I coughed slightly to cover up my trepidation, “Where do you want to go?”

She thought for a second, her arms crossed below her bust, which served to accentuate it. I snapped my eyes back up to hers before she caught me staring. She looked down at her purse and searched in it for a few seconds.

“Here we go.” She chirped as she pulled her phone from the bag’s depths and said, “Here, tap me.”

I fished my phone out of my pocket and held down the button on top as I tapped her phone with mine. A simultaneous DING came from both our phones as contact information was shared.

“Okay, just send me a text before lunch time and I’ll let you know where I’m at.” Alex tilted her head slightly and asked, “Does that work for you?”

“For sure!” I exclaimed, excited to get the opportunity to speak to her again. I glanced down at my phone.

Alex Finckley

General Manager of Operations
The Rad Hatter

The rest of the details blurred as I stared at “General Manager of Operations” and “The Rad Hatter”. My brain made a connection and I slowly looked up at her.

She stood there with a Cheshire Cat grin and said, “Well. I suppose we have an appointment we had better not be late for.” She turned and started walking up the steps to entrance of a massive skyscraper.

I just stood there. Even though my brain had processed who she was, it had yet to move on to what to tell my body to do.

Alex turned and looked at me, bemused. “Well?”

I sighed. Of course. Figures. Couldn’t just be some girl on the street. “Alright, alright.” I muttered, more to myself than to her. “This should be good.” I thought sarcastically to myself as I walked up the same steps and followed my, hopefully, future boss into the giant building.

Oh great... Now where does she take me?
