Raven Tries To Access The Fertility Idol's Magic

"What do you mean by 'access'?" Lois asked, her hands instinctively cradling her belly.

"There's still power inside of here. I can feel it. If I can tap it...I might be able to control it."

"Then you can fix me?" The reporter asked.

Raven wasn't listening. The Titan had taken off her gloves. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, let it out slowly. Opened her eyes again, reciting a mantra so quietly that Lois almost couldn't pick out the words.

"Azarath metrion zinthos. Azarath metrion zinthos. Azarath…"

Pale fingers touched the stone surface...and then seemed stuck there. The witch's whole body stiffened as though an electric current flowed through it. Lois Lane could feel something inside of her stomach move—a disconcerting sensation, especially as something hard pressed against the palm of one of her hands as she cradled her swollen stomach.

Raven's eyes began to glow. Lois watched the mouth move, fighting some unseen **** to do so. "...m-metrion...z-zinthos…"

The pale forehead was beaded with sweat, and the young woman's eyes were glowing with white light. Lois could see that the nipples were hard, standing out prominently through the unitard—no bra there, the reporter noted—and as she watched, the whorls carved into the gravid belly began to glow with a deep red light.

The sense of pressure in the room increased; the air had a greasy feel, like right before a lightning strike...and the reporter, who was standing up from her chair now, noticed that Raven and the statue were floating a few inches above the floor.

"...I can feel them," Raven's voice said. "They're inside. They want out."

"Who?" Lois said, not sure if she should even speak.

"My brothers and sisters. They're waiting." The witch turned her head. Red eyes flashed on the pale grey forehead. "They're waiting to be born. That's why she put it there, where someone like you would find it...activate it...you...or me..."

Lois Lane swallowed hard. She had a very bad feeling about this...
