Ten minutes can stretch into an eternity. Lois Lane found herself rubbing her swollen stomach. She didn't look that pregnant. Not really. Bloated, sure. It didn't feel like normal gas or water retention, though. She could feel something hard inside of her.

"But I haven't slept with anybody in...forever." Lois said out loud.

She cast her mind back. When was the last time she had gotten laid? The reporter had been so busy with her job, lately...

The Christmas party at the Daily Planet. Lois had hit the egg nog a little hard, and determined to give Clark Kent a surprise in the closet. He had been torn, unwilling to take advantage of Lois if she was drunk...a perfect Galahad. She had to threaten to blow the Kansas farmboy right there if he didn't go in there with her. She could remember stealing their first kiss...and then...

Lois blinked, frowned. If she had gotten laid, she should remember. She hadn't been drunk. And anyway, that was far too long ago. Her belly was...the reporter looked down at it. If anything, it seemed slightly more protuberant now. Ten weeks? Twelve? The reporter wished she knew more about pregnancy.

"What would I even do if I was pregnant...and by Clark Kent of all people?" Lois whispered to herself.

She could abort it. He'd never even know. Or she could tell him. He was such a goober he'd probably offer to marry her on the spot, and...that was its own can of worms, as Lois felt the butterflies in her stomach. Married to Clark Kent, pregnant with his baby! Lois didn't know how she felt about that.

The reporter looked at the rest of her body in the mirror. Were her breasts fuller? Nipples darker? Lois didn't think so. Just that belly, where there had been no belly before. The little rise in her stomach, which almost seemed to be getting bigger as she looked at it.

The reporter checked the test. Ten minutes had to have gone by.

Two blue lines stared up at her.

Lois Lane's heart sank.

She was pregnant. And she knew what she had to do.
