The Son of two radical communist hippies, Merlin is hard to shake- at least, when it comes to not having much to go around. To an outsider, he can seem to become appalled at random, then ramble about the bone-deep intricacies of systems and theories that not many others can grasp. While traveling across the United States, Merlin loses everything -absolutely everything- to a bet that stoked his pride.

Now without so much as the shirt on his back, he becomes the latest American oddity: The Naked Hitchhiker.
