Chapter 4 by Shibbar Shibbar

Farmland

The plains east of the village were covered in a smattering of small, fenced off plots and fields, visible from the village center. There were a few crude shacks and tents, as well as a small granary where the village stored food which was not suitable for storage in the main stockpile. Goblins were working in the fields, pushing wheelbarrows full of grain and tubers, readying for the winter season. With small groves of trees here and there the farms are quite picturesque.

{if done farmland = false}As Hopkins walked the path east, since it is the only way to go unless he wanted to trudge through the fields and trample all the crops, which he did not, he passed by a hut by the side of the path. There was a Goblin girl standing right outside the entrance flittering about worryingly. She noticed Hopkins and rushed over to him.

"Hopkins! Hopkins! I need your help!"

"Calm Lottie, what is problem?"

Lottie took hold of the cuff of his shirt and pulled him inside the hut. It was dim, lit only by the sunlight bleeding in through the cracks in the walls. The first thing that struck him was how bare the domicile was; save for a simple cooking station, a table, and a big pile of furs, the interior was empty of anything. Most goblin houses had something on display, be it knick knacks or tools or pottery, sometimes a tapestry or fancy carpet passed down generations. But in this case, nothing save for a simple bowl with a few simple flowers on top, most likely picked from the meadow. On the floor was a goblin, her brother Willieburr, pale green and sweating and bundled up in a leather sleeping bag.

"Snake bit Willie! He sick as a goose!"

"Hm, only one snake around village which dangerous. Slow ****, but painful. Need antivenom as soon as possible." Hopkins turned to Lottie, "you try asking Sherry?"

"That bitch say I need coin!" she yelled, "she know I don't have shinies, the greedy cunt! I can't work for coin and leave Willie here alone. Will you help me, please?"

"Okay, I will talk to Sherry when I have chance. You stay here and take care of your brother."

She looked really happy, though still worried. "Thank you, thanks! I will make sure you get something nice, I promise!" She sat next to her brother and held his hand; this was the cue for Hopkins to leave.

Hopkins left the shack and looked towards the village. Hopefully the antivenom was not too expensive.{elseif done farmland =true}Hopkins walked past Lottie's hut. Hopefully Willieburr is doing well.{else}Press the Start Game button to the right!{endif}
