Chapter 25 by Zeebop Zeebop

Epilogue: Reception

There was an open bar. For the first time in a long time, Lois Lane felt the need for a drink. She satisfied herself with a glass of seltzer and cranberry juice. For a precious moment, she was alone...Angelica Blaze Lane was dancing with her sister. Clark Kent was in deep discussion with Jason Blood, who had acted as master of ceremonies. The reporter wished that she was home, so Angie could rub her sore feet.

Unconsciously, Lois felt her free hand drift from her lap to her belly. There had been no point in trying to hide it. Twelve weeks pregnant. Lois still had a hard time wrapping her head around it. Every day she swore her stomach was a little bigger. She felt the weight of the ring on her hand, still unfamiliar.

Not at all how she had planned her life...

Diana slid into a seat beside Lois at the table. Unbidden, unannounced. Lois **** a smile as she looked at Wonder Woman in her civilian clothes, a simple but elegant black dress that showed off her cleavage and curves to good effect. Clark had brought her as his date, his "+1." A glass of champagne in her hand.

"You know you broke his heart, right?" The Amazon's question was as subtle as a sword-thrust. Lois set her mouth in a firm line.

"If Clark wanted to marry me, he could have asked long before I met Angie."

"But you know what she is, right?"

"I know who she is," Lois said, and sipped her juice. "That's why I married her."

"And how do you know that this isn't all part of her plan?" The blue eyes of the Amazon were piercing, and caught the reporter's own violet stare. Lois returned the gaze without flinching. "They were enemies. Can you think of a better ****?"

"The best ****," Lois said after a long moment. "Is living well. How is Clark?"

Diana blinked.

"We're—" She paused, gathered the right words. "I've been helping him. He needs someone he can rely on. Some days he carries the weight of the whole world on his shoulders."

Lois Lane's mouth twisted up in the corner. "Lot of stress. You help him relieve it yet?"

Diana said nothing, but sipped her champagne. Lois broke into a grin.

"Well good. I'm glad. I always thought you two had chemistry. Someone he didn't have to treat like she was made of glass," Lois bit her lower lip. "Look, the way things turned out...nothing like we might have expected. But that's life."

The bride looked pointedly down at her stomach. "This is my life now. I wouldn't trade it for anything else in the world. You get that, right? If you and Clark..."

The Amazon reached over and touched Lois's stomach. Without permission, but Lois didn't mind, this time. It was like Diana had to know it was real.

"If we conceive a child," Diana said after a long moment. "I wouldn't let anyone get between us. I..."

The song ended. Blaze was walking back towards her new wife.

"...just be careful," Diana said, standing up. She nodded to Angelica, who took her chair. The demonic dickgirl was in her human aspect, and wearing a tuxedo...one tight enough across the chest to still show the swell of her breasts.

"What was that about?" Angie asked.

"Fear, I think," Lois slid her hand over to hold her spouse's. "She's happy with Clark. Doesn't want to lose him. Worried that this was all some elaborate plot for ****, and that someday I would try and take him away from her."

"Hmmmm," Blaze said, she squeezed Lois Lane's hand. "You know it isn't, right? ****. I mean that first night, when I first saw you I thought maybe...but after that, we were together, and I just..."

She brought the hand up to her lips and kissed it.

"You're worth so much more to me. I don't have room in my heart to love you and hate him."

Lois pushed herself to her sore feet. The DJ had just announced the last dance.

"Come on," the reporter said, "dance with me."

So they did. Hand in hand. Angie's arm at the small of her back. Swaying close together, the little baby bump between them. Clark and Diana moved with measured grace, and they only had eyes for each other. Couples moving together and apart...and Lois buried her face in her wife's shoulder, and felt the tip of that cock that joined them together press against her lower belly. It had been almost six hours since they had last made love...and Lois could feel the need, right then and there, in her own body.

That was how they were. Angie got hard, Lois got wet. Lois got wet, Blaze got hard. Mrs. and Mrs. Lane, locked together in a carnal cycle...and Lois no longer cared about the elseworlds, the what if's, the might-have-beens and parallel universes. Somewhere else in the vastness of the multiverse, maybe she would be married to Superman right now, and carrying his baby. But in this one...she was in love with the devil herself.

Her lips sought out Blaze's. The music slowed, and the couples moved around and past them as the brides stood there, unmoving, locked in a kiss that meant more to them, then and there, than when they had sealed their vows. Angie's hand moved down to grab the pregnant woman's ass, and Lois broke the kiss, laughing, leaning against her wife's chest.

"I'll tell the limo driver to take the long way back," Blaze whispered. "Because I don't think we can wait til we get home."

"No," Lois agreed. "We really can't."

Nor did they.
