Chapter 20 by Zeebop Zeebop

How Does It End?

End: Time's Up

They were cradled in each other's arms. Somewhere, a clock chimed. Ella Lane smiled sadly.

"I have to go," she whispered.

Her daughter's eyes went wide. "Mom, no."

"Yes." A voice said at the foot of the bed. Lois turned and rose.

There was a woman there...or something in the shape of a woman. Crimson skin on a whipcord-lean form, dark horns rising from her brow, a cascade of dark hair falling behind her. Pure white eyes without iris or pupil.

"The time of our bargain is nearly complete, Ella Lane," the demon spoke, her accent strange, Mediterranean or Middle Eastern. One red hand gestured. "Will you deliver your firstborn daughter to me?"

The older woman's mouth was set in a firm line. "No. I will not."

The devil's mouth broke into a sneer. "Then your own soul is forfeit!"

A dark chain whipped forth from the crimson hand, wrapping around the older woman's neck. With a wrench, she pulled Lois Lane's mother toward her, the naked woman grasping at the links. Lois scrabbled to help her, pulling uselessly at the cold metal.

"Foolish mortal!" The demon bitch hissed. "Your mother has an eternity of cocks to suck in hell! In time, she will curse herself for not giving you up."

"No!" Lois sobbed, hugging her mother. "Please, no! I'll do anything! Anything..."

By now, Ella was at the foot of the bed, the chains wrapped too tight around her throat to speak. The demon leaned close, her fangs inches from Lois Lane's face.

"Anything, sweetmeat?" A forked tongue flickered out to taste the reporter's tears. "Then fulfill thy mother's vow! Become my **** in hell, and her soul may go free..."

Lois took a deep breath. Her heart pounded. She knew what was being asked of her...felt her mother's eyes on her, begging her not to...but as a daughter, she could not condemn her own mother to an eternity of suffering.

"I..." The reporter began.

"I don't think so," a masculine voice broke in. A green gloved hand emerged from the darkness, to grab the chain. He was pale as **** itself, hooded and cloaked in a cloth the emerald of evergreens and wet grass. The hand closed on the chain, and it vanished, fading like mountain dew.

"The sacrifice has redeemed her soul," the hooded spectre intoned. "Your bargain is nullified. You cannot have either of their souls."

The crimson demon screamed, a halo of black lightning sprouting from her brow, sparks flying from her teeth. She launched herself at the hooded figure, and he raised his hand... and she was gone, as though she never had been.

He turned to the two naked women, mother and daughter.

"Ella Lane, the sins of your life have not been paid for. You must walk the Earth for a time in spirit, to purify your soul with good deeds...and earn your place in Heaven, or the cycle of reincarnation, as you chose." He turned, already fading into the shadows. "So speaks, the Spectre."

On the bed, Lois let out a breath she didn't know she had been holding. She turned to her mother...but Ella Lane's body was already translucent, fading away.

"Don't worry Lois...I'll always be close. I love you...more than life itself..."

She was gone. The reporter allowed herself one sniff, but couldn't suppress a smile. How rare a chance was that, to see your deceased love one again? To feel their lips on yours, trailing down your breasts, to nestle on your pussy? To taste for too brief a time the cunt that had given her life?

Slowly, she gathered up her clothes. It felt odd, knowing her mother was looking over her shoulder. Lois Lane smiled into the night.

I guess I'll have to give her a good show.

The End
