Danni surprises me

In the middle of writing a paper, I hear a soft knock on the door. I save my file and get up to answer it. I open the door to find Danni standing there, looking timid and shy. “Danni?” I say in surprise. “Come in.” I let her into the room and close the door behind us, then turn to her. “What’s up?” I ask. “Is something wrong?”

With a timid little smile on her face, Danni shakes her head. She visibly gathers her courage and pulls something out of her pocket. She hands it to me and I look down at it.

It’s one of my business cards.

My jaw drops and I look back up at her. She gives me a wavering smile and asks softly, “Please?”
