A vial of glowing black slime

You open the box to find a large vial resting upon a black velvet interior. The vial is filled with a viscous black liquid; a putrid green glow surrounds this goo.

You pull out the vial, noticing the warm touch, and slosh the fluid around. It moves as slow as molasses. Also, there is something fishy about the way it flows in its glass prison. Little curls of the fluid reach out and dance in the air, as if moving of their own accord.

You don't know why, but you decide in that moment to take this vial with you for later examination...
